The PGM standard (PRÜFGEMEINSCHAFT Mauerbohrer eV). PGM is an independent organisation (link to http://pgm-online.org) that has been certifying hammer drill bits and
cylindrical drill bits since 1978. It carries out a standards watch and checks manufacturers’ products and quality policies. PGM certified drill bits comply with therequirements of strict specifications in order to guarantee safe fixings. Certified drill bits bear the PGM logo with the manufacturer’s number.
For Diager fixings:
The Construction Product Regulation (EU regulation n° 305/2011 known as CPR) came into force on July 1st 2013 and stipulates that all construction products that are compliant with a harmonised standard or a European Technical Assessment (ETA) (1) must have a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and bear a CE marking before being put onto the European market.
ETAs are issued on the basis of a European assessment document of the European Technical Approval Guide (ETAG) type if published before July 1st 2013. An Option 1 ETA authorises fixings in cracked and non-cracked concrete.
An Option 7 ETA authorises fixings in non-cracked concrete only. it indicates the performances and conditions for use (hole sizes, cleaning, etc.)
